Christmas Eve Blessing
- host
- garlic
- honey
the host is for the lord to receive communion. the garlic for the bitter herbs of life and the honey for the sweets of life.
PRUNES
- 12 OZ prunes
- 1 C sugar
- 1 orange cut in quarters
- cover with water
- add a dash of salt
- cook until hot about 30 min
BEANS
- Red kidney
- pinto
- Lima
- open cans
- heat
LENTILS
- 1 LB lentils
- garlic salt
- sauted onion
- carrots/ celery
- boil lentils with garlic salt, onions and carrots
PEAS
- peas
- 1 TSP sugar or to taste
- heat peas
- add sugar
BOILED POTATOES
- potatoes
- butter
- salt
- boil potatoes
- cut into cubes
- add butter
SOUR KRAUT
- 2 cans of kraut
- dash of slat/ pepper
- 1 TSP caraway seed
- cover kraut with water
- add caraway and salt
- boil for 20-30 min
